According to section 12 of the Act, if it is proved that someone has obtained a certificate of Nepali citizenship by giving false information, the following bodies shall cancel such certificate of Nepali citizenship -
(a) If it is issued by the Ministry, then the Ministry (b) If it is issued by the District Administration Office or any other agency, then the concerned chiefdistrict officer,
(c) According to clause (b), the information with the details of the Nepalese citizenship certificate canceled by the Chief District Officer should be sent to the Ministry.
